A Ferrari Testarossa is his 'lamp.' Finnegus Boggs has been a Somalian warrior, an Egyptian scribe, a Cambridge professor. Present day, he's a doctor, and never in his over 5,000 yrs had he been forced from his lamp at gunpoint.
Billy was desperate when he yanked opened the driver's door, stuck a gun at Finnegus and ordered him from his 'home' to stitch up his best bud, Tyron. Shot by the liquor store owner in their recent robbery attempt, the bullet went straight through, but Tyron would surely bleed to death in back of Billy's brother's car without medical help, and there was no way in hell they could go to a hospital.
Always the consummate professional (and his curiosity piqued), Finnegus acquiesced to assist. Billy demanded Dr. Boggs fix his dying friend, but the genie knew sealing the hole in Tyron would involve much more than just stitching his wound. Guiding both boys to begin healing lifetimes of abuse and neglect was going to require a bit of magic...

The Activation
James jumped from the car into the cloud of dust kicked up from the tires of the CRV as his dad pulled into the campground parking area. Their annual family camping trip to Hindley State Park was finally on. He'd waited forever again, it seemed, enduring the suburbs; his older sister, Amy; and getting through the 6th grade.
The rich smell of trees and earth filled his nose and mouth...like sucking on candy. Wizards and warriors were surely hiding among the redwoods where he ran. The dense forest always ignited his imagination, until Amy's shrill tone demanding he return to camp rose above the raging river's din. His sister annoyed the hell out of him, which is why James hid, but when he snuck up behind where she stood on the sandbar yelling, he was as amazed as she seemed to see the rocks lining the river's edge faintly glowing. Amy bent to retrieve one, but James warned her to stay away, inadvertently revealing his stealth position. His sister turned on him, both forgetting about the bizarre stones with their rancorous exchange right then, setting in motion a string of disastrous events, never realizing the terrible cost of their incessant squabbling.
